In praise of Congressman Paul Ryan / Early voting reminder‏

In praise of Congressman and soon-to-be Vice President Paul Ryan

Reminder: Last day of early votingJoe Kaufman

Waking up Saturday morning to the announcement of Paul Ryan as Mitt Romney’s Vice Presidential pick was enormous. One of America’s true heroes and courageous individuals, Paul Ryan is now going to join hands with Governor Romney to lead America towards a reaffirmation of its founding principles that made America great.

In debate after debate, I have trumpeted Paul Ryan and his plan to save Medicare and Social Security and restore fiscal responsibility in America. At times, I have had to defend Ryan against the attacks of Karen Harrington, my opponent in the Republican race to unseat Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

Harrington, as recent as a week ago, joined forces with Debbie Wasserman Schultz to criticize the Ryan plan as going too far and compared the Ryan plan to ObamaCare. No doubt this is a blistering split from the GOP which unanimously supports the Ryan plan, but it also is an insult to the Republican principle of taking daring positions aimed at saving America and has the potential to do harm to the presidential ticket. It’s no wonder that Karen has never won a debate and was beaten by me in every poll during this Primary.

Hosted by Ambassador Roger Noriega and Mr. Ivan Garcia-Hidalgo

Why do we support Joe Kaufman? Because he knows that LEADERSHIP IN CONGRESS is vital to addressing the opportunities and challenges for our economy and security in Latin America and the Caribbean, on Florida’s doorstep. Joe Kaufman believes the United States should defend economic and political freedom in the Americas. He is keenly aware of the threat posed by Hugo Chávez’s anti-U.S. alliance with Iran, Hezbollah and the narcotraffickers. And, Joe Kaufman rejects unilateral concessions to the Cuban dictatorship. Join us in backing Joe Kaufman, candidate for U.S. Congress from Florida’s 23rd District.

Move the American Embassy to Jerusalem Petition

Sign the Letter to President Barack Obama

by: Joe Kaufman and the American People

Dear President Obama:

On October 23, 1995, the United States Congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy Relocation Act, requiring that the United States move its embassy from Tel-Aviv to Jerusalem by May 1999. The law recognized that every nation has the right to designate its own capital and that Israel has so designated Jerusalem as its capital city.

In order to placate Israel and America’s enemies abroad, President Bill Clinton signed a national security waiver of the act in June 1999. This injustice has since been replicated by each succeeding President every six months since the waiver was originally signed. We believe that the time is long overdue for this injustice to be righted. We especially believe this time is important, as Israel’s enemies have been raising the rhetoric regarding Jerusalem.
