Joe Kaufman, the Republican candidate for United States Congress looking to unseat Debbie Wasserman Schultz, has won the latest Tea Party straw poll.

The poll took place, this past week, following a Tea Party debate between Kaufman and all but one of his primary opponents. During the debate, Kaufman took issue with his opponents’ soft stance on Iran. This is an important matter, given the fact that Iran is actively conducting war games with missiles that Iran openly admits can be used to target U.S. bases and Israel.

This poll was the second Tea Party straw poll Kaufman won. Additionally, Kaufman won three other polls conducted by a conservative news source. To date, Kaufman is 5 for 5 in polls won.

Kaufman stated, “I’m proud to receive support from the Tea Party. I’m always happy to stand and wave the Gadsden with my friends.”
